Zakiyah is an established professional freelance Makeup Artist with over 8 years’ experience having honed her artistry skills working with two of the UK’s leading beauty brands – (MAC Cosmetics & Benefit). She specialises in makeup and grooming for all occasions including film & TV, commercials, photo and video shoots, fashion, and bridal. Zakiyah can easily connect with clients and uses her knowledge of leading brands, products and trends and her understanding of bone structure, skin tones and colours to inspire and transform her clients looks. She also provides hair on demand.
Very early on in her career Zakiyah had the opportunity to work with designer Ozwald Boateng. She then went on to build an extensive list of loyal and high profile clientele, including Olympic Medalist Perri Edwards, Loose Women’s Judi Love, celebrity fashion stylist, Melissa Holdbrook-Akposoe, beauty and lifestyle entrepreneur, Forbes West Africa Correspondent, & Creator & EP of Netflix Original Reality series ‘YOUNG, FAMOUS & AFRICAN’ Peace Hyde, Radio Presenters – Nadia Jae, Yasmin Evans and Rebecca Judd and recording artists including Paapa Essiedu, Young T & Bugsey, Aitch, K-Trap, Shaé Universe, Jae5, Lola Rae and many more. Zakiyah has also worked on set with brands including Tik Tok, Superdrug, British Airways, Flannels Beauty, Grassfields, BBC, Channel 4, Magnify.
