Maria A is one of the most in-demand makeup artists in today’s industry. After graduating from the London College of Fashion in 2011 she soon started working with various on-screen talents. She has extensive experience in a wide range of fields within the industry, including Editorials, Campaigns, Commercials, TV shows, Press Junkets, and Red Carpet events. Her client list includes Hollywood Actresses Angela Bassett, Thandie Newton, Amandla Stenberg, Lashana Lynch, Amy Jackson, and supermodel Jourdan Dunn to name a few. She has a long-standing relationship with Regina King and Ryan Coogler, working with them on UK and European marketing and promotional activity for their film and TV projects. She has also worked with Captain Morgan, Skoda, HSBC, and Nike. Maria supported British Pop Star Mabel McVey for several years as a personal makeup artist, touring the world and working on all her major key TV appearances. She has worked with iconic publications including Vogue, Grazia, Wonderland, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, and GQ.
Maria takes inspiration from a number of areas, with one of her strengths being able to create natural, stripped back, soft glam makeup looks from every decade of the 20th Century and 21st Century. Her work is very versatile, and this gives her clients a variation of looks that complements and enhances their features perfectly. She is also able to create any style desired within beauty makeup and is skilled in male grooming, HD makeup, beauty and fashion makeup and has a strong understanding and knowledge of lighting.
