After initially starting in beauty, Janet has moved into film and TV through working in short and independent film and high-end TV productions including “Love”, “Post Carbon Society” and “The Hand That Feeds You”. Another of Janet’s most notable credits includes hair and makeup for season three of “Atlanta”, starring Donald Glover and LaKeith Stanfield. Her latest role was working on Apple TV’s “Masters of the Air” where she showed off her skills in SFX makeup. Janet has also supported musicians such as Kenyan pop star TheOnlyRosa on her vibrant music video ‘Rosa Popping’, where she cut Afro hair. Since 2019, Janet has been involved in makeup, hair and PR events. These have included Leicester Fashion Week, London Fashion Week and the Top Model Worldwide Finalist Awards.
Janet can provide vast amounts of technical skills and knowledge, making her a crucial part of any hair and makeup team. She can apply HD lace wigs prep on block, install and dress out, ageing, dirty down, SFX, prosthetics and body painting using an airbrushing machine. She also has more traditional strengths including working with modern and period makeup and hair, including light and dark skin tones and all hair textures, especially Afro hair, plus male grooming.
