By the time Alexandria was 16 years she had enrolled onto a hairdressing course at Francesco hair Academy where she learnt how to cut, colour, style, and barber hair. She also worked in an afro Caribbean hair salon, learning different braiding techniques, hair styling and wig dressing for clients. At the same time, she perfected her hair and makeup skills on friends, family and private clients.
She then moved onto a makeup course at college. She started building her social media platforms and online portfolio showcasing her versatility working with different skin tones and hair textures. In 2021 she was noticed by the ‘Glow Up’ casting team and auditioned for the series. Her participation in the show led to her gaining work experience on ‘screaming feast’ and doing a Lion King workshop.
Alexandria would make a great trainee for any production, with her warm and friendly manner and reliable and positive attitude. Having built her theoretical knowledge and experience of makeup, hair styling, hairdressing for film and TV, she has a solid foundation from which to build upon.
